NEW DELHI (AA) - A fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in the northern state of Haryana during a routine training sortie on Friday.
The Indian Air Force said in a statement on X that the Jaguar aircraft went down in Ambala after experiencing a “system malfunction.”
“The pilot maneuvered the aircraft away from any habitation on the ground, before ejecting safely,” the statement said.
An inquiry was launched “to ascertain the cause of the accident.”
