NEW DELHI, India (AA) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden on Monday spoke to each other about regional issues and priorities of both countries, according to Modi.
"We discussed regional issues and our shared priorities. We also agreed to further our co-operation against climate change," Modi wrote on Twitter late Monday, saying he conveyed his best wishes to Biden, who took office on Jan. 20.
The Indian premier had also spoken to Biden last November when his electoral win was declared.
In another tweet, Modi said he and Biden are "committed to a rules-based international order."
"We look forward to consolidating our strategic partnership to further peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond," said Modi.
