ISTANBUL (AA) – Indonesia on Thursday condemned the illegal Israeli settlers' "provocative" raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday in occupied East Jerusalem.
In a statement on X, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry described the raid as "provocative" and harmful to the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.
The ministry called for an immediate cessation of all violations and violence by Israel, including in Gaza.
Indonesia also welcomed on Wednesday Slovenia's decision to officially recognize the state of Palestine, viewing it as a significant step towards a two-state solution and the defense of justice and humanity for Palestine.
Hundreds of illegal Israeli settlers on Wednesday stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex to mark the 57th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem.
