ANKARA (AA) - Inter Milan came back from two goals down to defeat Empoli 4-2 and have moved on top of Serie A ahead of AC Milan.
The visitors shocked Inter Milan with two goals in 28 minutes at San Siro, scored by Andrea Pinamonti and Kristjan Asllani on Friday.
But Simone Inzaghi’s side responded quickly with Simone Romagnoli (own goal) and Lautaro Martinez scoring before the first half ended.
In the second half, Martinez scored again and Alexis Sanchez found the net, sending Inter Milan to the top of the table.
Having collected 78 points, Inter Milan now moved one point ahead of city rivals AC Milan, who will take on Verona on Sunday.
