ANKARA (AA) - Inter Milan beat Cagliari 3-1 on Sunday to pursue leaders AC Milan, but the Italian league will end next weekend.
Second-place Inter have 81 points in 37 matches.
Earlier Sunday, leaders Milan beat Atalanta 2-0 at home to boost their points to 83.
Matteo Darmian scored the opener for Inter as the visitors led the first half.
Inter's Argentine star Lautaro Martinez scored in the box to make it 2-0 in the 51st minute.
Two minutes later, Cagliari narrowed the gap to one as Greek left-back Charalampos Lykogiannis fired outside the box to score.
In the 84th minute, Martinez chipped the ball over the goalkeeper to make the result 3-1 for the Nerazzurri.
In match week 38, which will be the final week of the season, Milan will visit Sassuolo on Sunday. Meanwhile, Inter will take on Sampdoria at home on the same day.
