ANKARA (AA) - An International alumni from Turkish universities gathered in Istanbul for an iftar, or fast-breaking dinner, during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The head of the International Alumni Association of Turkey (TUMED) Ergash Jumayev said it was not only the iftar program but a meeting of friends who graduated from Turkey.
TUMED is concerned with not only with its alumni but all issues in Islamic countries, especially where Muslims are being persecuted.
The program was held by Turkey's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and TUMED.
Among attendees were YTB President Abdullah Eren, general director of provincial migration management, and other officials.
