ISTANBUL (AA) – A two-day international symposium titled Future Palestine: Space, Geopolitics, and Global Insights kicked off in Istanbul on Thursday.
The symposium, hosted by Istanbul Technical University, will feature expert panelists discussing Palestine's future.
The experts attending the event include Sufian Abu Zaideh, a former Prisoner Affairs Minister of the Palestinian Authority; Omar Shaban, a Middle East political economy analyst; and Michael Walls, a professor of Development Politics and Economy at University College London's Development Planning Unit.
The first day of the symposium will cover the war's impact on Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, as well as post-war/disaster reconstruction plans.
On the second day, in addition to postwar/disaster reconstruction, urban planning in the Palestinian territories will be discussed.
Overall, the symposium will discuss Palestine's geopolitical situation and potential solutions.
