BAGHDAD (AA) - Iraq on Tuesday denied reports that Iranian strikes in the northern city of Erbil targeted an Israeli spy agency headquarters.
“Allegations about targeting a Mossad headquarters are groundless,” National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji said on X.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said earlier that it launched ballistic missiles at positions of "anti-Iran terrorist groups" and their backers in Syria and Iraq.
The IRGC also claimed to have destroyed the local headquarters of the Israeli spy agency Mossad in Erbil.
At least four people were killed and six others injured in the Iranian attacks, according to the Kurdish Regional Government in northern Iraq.
The Iraqi government has termed the Iranian attacks in Erbil an act of aggression and a violation of the country’s sovereignty.
