ISTANBUL (AA) - Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, along with a high-level delegation from his country, will pay an official visit to Türkiye on Thursday.
During the visit, the first meeting of Türkiye-Iraq Joint Planning Group, which was founded through the Strategic Framework Agreement for Joint Cooperation Between Türkiye and Iraq, will be held under the co-chairmanship of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein, said a Turkish Foreign Ministry statement.
The fourth meeting of the High-Level Security Mechanism, co-chaired by Fidan and Hussein, will take place on the same day with the attendance by National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, the country’s National Intelligence Organization Ibrahim Kalin, other officials and their Iraqi counterparts, the statement said.
Several aspects of the two nations’ bilateral relations and regional developments are expected to be discussed during the meetings, it added.
