BAGHDAD (AA) - The prime minister of Iraq on Wednesday received Turkey's ambassador to Baghdad who is at the end of his tenure.
Mustafa al-Kadhimi and Turkish envoy Fatih Yildiz discussed bilateral relations and ways to increase solidarity and cooperation between the two countries in line with common interests, according to a statement by the Prime Ministry's Press Office.
Al-Kadhimi noted that Iraq wants to establish balanced relations with neighboring countries and is striving for security and stability in the region.
Turkey nominated Ambassador Ali Riza Guney to replace Yildiz, who had held the post since 2017.
