KIRKUK, Iraq (AA) - Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani approved Friday a request by the head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF), Hasan Turan, to improve technical and administrative aspects of Turkish education in cities predominantly inhabited by Turkmen people.

Technical and administrative challenges have been conveyed to the Iraqi government, according to a statement by the ITF press office.

Al Sudani has taken immediate steps to resolve those issues, it said, including approving the appointment of contract teachers to address the shortage of teachers in schools providing Turkish education.

He also endorsed the state printing of books by the state, ensuring that exam questions are the same as those in other languages, and allowing students receiving Turkish education to participate in distance learning exams.
