JERUSALEM (AA) – Israeli forces on Sunday launched a manhunt for a Palestinian accused of carrying out a shooting attack against Israeli soldiers a day earlier.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper identified the Palestinian as Oday Tamimi from the Shufat refugee camp near occupied East Jerusalem.
His parents were arrested by Israeli forces while his brother and the driver who took him to the site of the attack turned themselves in, the daily said.
Three others believed to be involved in the attack were also arrested, according to the newspaper.
An Israeli soldier was killed and two others were injured late Saturday when a gunman opened fire on a group of Israeli soldiers.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
