ISTANBUL (AA) – The seventh day of a conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups starts off with Israel’s warning to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to evacuate to the south amid reports of a major ground operation.


- Evacuation

JERUSALEM

  • Israeli army ordered all residents of Gaza City to evacuate their homes and move to the south.
  • Israel has informed the United Nations of the necessity of evacuating the northern Gaza Strip within 24 hours.

GAZA CITY

  • Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have begun moving from Gaza City to the Al-Shifa medical complex, according to Anadolu.

- Humanitarian situation

GAZA CITY

  • Palestinian Health Ministry urged urgent intervention to save thousands of injured in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
  • The demands include opening safe corridors to transfer the injured out of the Gaza Strip and bring in medical supplies and teams.
  • The health system in the besieged Gaza Strip is “at a breaking point,” says the World Health Organization.

  • At least 53 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded as Israel targeted homes and buildings across the Gaza Strip on Thursday.

JERUSALEM

  • Israel is preparing to launch a ground incursion into the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reports.
  • If the ground entry is approved, Israeli forces are prepared to remain in Gaza for several months.
  • Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir distributes assault rifles to civilian “security teams.”
