JERUSALEM (AA) - A video that is claimed to belong to a group of Palestinians forcibly displaced from the northern part of the blockaded Gaza Strip was released by the Israeli army on Tuesday.

As per an announcement by the Israeli army, it was claimed that a "corridor for evacuation" allowing civilians from the northern part of Gaza to travel was reopened for a set timeframe today from 10:00 to 14:00 (08:00 - 12:00GMT).

Along with the announcement, another video claimed to belong to dozens of Palestinians who were forced to evacuate was shared.

The video shows Palestinians with white flags in their hands walking on a road where an Israeli tank is stationed, and it also highlights that many of the Palestinians have their hands raised.

- Response from the Palestinian government in Gaza: Israeli army conducting psychological operations

Meanwhile, the Media Office of the Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip responded to the mentioned footage.

The Israeli army was conducting a psychological operation and a warning was issued against the circulation and publication of the released video, said in a written statement.

"The occupying army gathered dozens of citizens who wanted to go south and took demeaning photos to show that many people were going south," the statement added.

- The passage of Gazans to the south is complicated due to the destruction of roads in Israeli bombardments

Since Oct.7, the Israeli army's attacks have caused significant damage to most of the roads in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, making it difficult for civilians living in the region to move to the south.

Roughly 1.24 miles (2 kilometers) of the pathway in the corridor, which is said to have been designated for evacuations, has suffered extensive destruction from Israeli assaults, making it nearly impossible for vehicles to pass through.

Due to the inaccessibility of the road in the corridor because of Israeli attacks, Gazans who want to move from the north to the south have to make the journey on foot.

This journey becomes even more difficult as older people, women, and children who have been forced to leave their homes due to the attacks have to travel on foot.

It is reported that there are approximately 400,000 Palestinian civilians in the northern part of Gaza, which Israel has declared as fully surrounded.

Due to the ongoing Israeli attacks since Oct.7, approximately 70% of the population in the Gaza Strip, where around 2.3 million Palestinians live, has been displaced from their homes, according to Palestinian sources.
