GENEVA (AA) - Israel has signed an agreement for selling its David’s Sling air defense system to Finland, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced Sunday.
The ministry’s Director-General, Eyal Zamir, “signed an agreement for the sale of the 'David's Sling' to Finland valued at approx. 317 million EUR ($339.6 million)," the ministry said on X.
The David's Sling system, jointly developed by Israel and the US in 2017, can intercept enemy aircraft, drones, ballistic missiles and medium- to long-range rockets.
The sale of the co-developed system to Finland required the approval of the US, which gave the green light in early August.
