BEIRUT (AA) – One person was killed and two others were injured in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon Sunday evening, the Health Ministry said.
The injured included a woman who sustained serious wounds in the attack that targeted the town of Beit Lif, the ministry added in a statement.
The state-run National News Agency also reported another Israeli airstrike in the border town of Beit Yohoun. No details were yet available about casualties or damage.
Tensions have risen along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv continued its brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed over 40,700 victims since Oct. 7 following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
