MARJAAYOUN, Lebanon (AA) - Israel continued to shell the outskirts of border towns Thursday in southern Lebanon with artillery and drone strikes, with no reported casualties, according to an Anadolu correspondent.

The outskirts of Rmeish and Ramia were shelled, while a drone targeted the town of Mahibib.

Also targeted was the outskirts of the border town of Habbariya.

Reconnaissance drones maintained a presence above the middle and eastern sectors.

And incendiary bombs were fired by the Israeli army on the towns of Beit Leef and Aita Ash Shab.

Witnesses in the Marjayoun region noted that Israeli forces initiated shelling of open areas due to suspicions of potential infiltration attempts by armed individuals toward their nearby border positions.

The Lebanese News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes conducted reconnaissance flights in the skies of Beirut.

There has been no statement from Israel regarding the military actions.
