JERUSALEM (AA) - The Israeli army on Monday reported detecting 25 rocket launches and three suicide drone attacks originating from Lebanon, targeting Israeli positions along the border.

According to an Israeli army statement, the Iron Dome air defense system successfully intercepted several rockets, while others struck open areas.

In a separate statement, the Israeli army confirmed that three suicide drones, launched by Hezbollah, had targeted an Israeli military outpost along the border. The Israeli army noted that no injuries were reported as a result of the Hezbollah attacks.

In response to the incidents, the Israeli military, including tanks, fighter jets, and helicopters, launched retaliatory strikes against the sources of fire within Lebanon.

Earlier on Monday, the Hezbollah group said it targeted an Israeli force in the Karantina hill near the Hadb Yaroun Israeli post.

It added that its fighters also attacked the Israeli Branit Barracks with two surface-to-surface "Burkan missiles," inflicting a direct hit.

The Israeli army and the Hezbollah group engaged in deadly skirmishes on the border areas between them as of Oct. 7 when the Palestinian Hamas group in Gaza carried out a surprise attack on the Israeli surrounding locations to Gaza, triggering an Israeli bloody onslaught against the Palestinian enclave.

The clashes between the Israeli army and the Hezbollah group are the deadliest since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
