RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli army on Tuesday killed two Palestinians and injured two others in the Fawar refugee camp in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the two Palestinians killed as Ahmad Yaghi, 17, and Ibrahim al-Titi, 31.
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that the Israeli forces confronted with dozens of Palestinians when they raided the Fawar refugee camp near Hebron city.
The Israeli army used live and rubber-coated bullets to suppress the Palestinians, the eyewitnesses added.
At least 305 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli forces in the West Bank since Oct. 7 and over 3,300 others injured, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The Israeli army has detained more than 55 Palestinians across the West Bank.
According to a joint statement by the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoner Society, the new arrests bring the total number of Palestinians detained by the Israeli forces since Oct. 7 to nearly 4,785.
During the Israeli arrest campaigns, the Israeli forces beat and abused Palestinians and damaged their homes properties, the statement also said.
It added that the figure does not include the Israeli arrest of Palestinians from Gaza, whose numbers are not specified by the Israeli authorities.
Tensions have been high across the West Bank since the fighting broke out on Oct. 7 between Palestinian groups and Israel in Gaza.
