RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - The Israeli army on Tuesday morning killed a Palestinian man during raids into several areas in the northern occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its "medical teams transferred a martyr from Tammoun town to hospital."

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that an Israeli force raided the town of Tammoun and cordoned off a home, triggering clashes with Palestinians.

The Israeli army fired anti-tank rifle grenades toward the home where the Palestinian was killed, the witnesses added.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army raided other areas in the northern West Bank, including the Far'a refugee camp in southern Tubas city, Qalqilya city and Qabatiya town in southern Jenin city.

In the Far'a refugee camp, the Israeli army was escorted with bulldozers which embarked on destroying infrastructure facilities in the camp.

Similarly, the Israeli army raided Qabatiya town and destroyed roads and infrastructure amid clashes with Palestinians.

Over the past few years, the Israeli military has conducted regular raids in the West Bank, which have escalated with the beginning of the war on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023. Palestinians have also been violently attacked by illegal Israeli settlers.

Nearly 770 Palestinians have since been killed and over 6,300 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.

The escalation follows a landmark opinion in July by the International Court of Justice that declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land "illegal" and demanded the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
