Israeli army raided on Thursday the Aqabat Jabr and Ain al-Sultan refugee camps near the city of Jericho in eastern West Bank, Anadolu learned.
Witnesses said the troops, accompanied by bulldozers, broke into several Palestinian houses and interrogated their inhabitants. Several citizens were also arrested.
Israeli forces also conducted raids across the occupied West Bank at dawn, including the city of Qalqilya and the camps of Balata and al-Ain near Nablus in the north, the town of Abu Dis east of Jerusalem, and the town of al-Khader near Bethlehem in the south.
Israel started its war on Gaza after the Oct. 7, 2023 cross-border incursion by Hamas, killing more than 31,000 Palestinians and pushing the territory to the brink of famine. Since then, Israeli raids and arrests in the occupied West Bank have increased and confrontations have resulted in the killing of at least 433 Palestinians, while 4,700 others have been injured.
