RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli army on Tuesday raided the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank and clashed with Palestinians.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medical teams treated eight Palestinians injured from Israeli live bullets in the Askar refugee camp in Nablus City.

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that Israeli forces raided the Askar camp and besieged a home.

The Red Crescent said the Israeli army at first prevented its medical teams from reaching the injured Palestinians but allowed them later.

The Israeli forces also raided the Balata refugee camp in Nablus city, triggering clashes with Palestinian fighters, but no casualties were reported.

Early on Tuesday, the Israeli army struck a Palestinian home in Tulkarem refugee camp, leaving 9 Palestinians injured, according to another statement by the Red Crescent.

On Monday night, the Israeli army killed three Palestinians in the city of Tulkarem, bringing the death toll of Palestinians in the West Bank from Israeli fire since Oct. 7 to 340.

Tensions have been high across the West Bank since fighting broke out in Gaza on Oct. 7 between Palestinian groups and Israel.
