GAZA, Palestine (AA) - Israeli air and ground attacks across the Gaza Strip on Friday killed and injured numerous Palestinians, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The bodies of nine people were recovered from the rubble after a strike on a home in the southern city of Rafah, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the east of Rafah, killing at least nine people and leaving many others injured.

In the last 24 hours, as a result of the continuous bombardment by Israel on various points in the Gaza Strip from the air and ground, the bodies of 30 Palestinians reached hospitals in the city of Khan Yunis.

Intense Israeli attacks took place in the center of Khan Yunis, with the targets including ambulances and rescue teams trying to reach the dead and wounded.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas, which Tel Aviv says killed around 1,200 people.

At least 23,708 Palestinians have since been killed, mostly women and children, and 60,050 others injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
