JERUSALEM (AA) – An Israeli rabbi died Thursday of wounds from a stabbing attack in Hadera in northern Israel a day earlier, local media said.
Rafael Mordechai Fisho, 35, was critically injured by an Arab Israeli resident of Umm al-Fahm in Israel on Wednesday. Six more people were injured in the attack.
According to Israeli media, the attackers used a moped to drive between four locations in Hadera during the attack.
The attacker was shot and arrested by Israeli police.
The attack came amid rising regional tensions over Israel’s brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 42,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured nearly 97,900 since last year.
