BEIRUT (AA) – An Israeli drone struck a car in southern Lebanon on Monday, according to Lebanese media.
The attack targeted a car on the Kouthariyet al-Rizz-Zrarieh road in Sidon district, Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar television reported.
The Lebanese daily Al-Nahar said one person was injured in the attack, which left the vehicle in flames.
Tension has risen along the border between Lebanon and Israel, with intermittent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-fledged war in 2006.
The border tension comes amid an Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip that has killed over 36,400 people since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7 last year.
