RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - An Israeli army drone on Tuesday killed at least four Palestinians in the city of Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry in a statement said the bodies arrived at the government-run Khalil Salman Hospital in the city.
Witnesses told Anadolu that the drone also left many others injured, and the Israeli army prevented medical teams from reaching the area to evacuate the victims.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces stormed the city from several directions, triggering clashes with Palestinians.
Israeli bulldozers also destroyed infrastructure and property in the Jenin refugee camp, according to witnesses.
Anadolu also learned that Israeli forces raided several areas across the West Bank, including the town of Silwad in Ramallah, and detained at least 15 Palestinians.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank amid an Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
At least 280 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank since Oct. 7, in addition to more than 3,100 others injured, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
