RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – Israeli forces raided a Palestinian refugee camp in the West Bank city of Tulkarm on Wednesday, according to eyewitnesses.
“Israeli snipers were deployed on rooftops of residential buildings in the Nour Shams refugee camp amid clashes with Palestinian fighters,” an eyewitness told Anadolu.
No information was yet available about casualties.
Tensions have been running high across the occupied West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip following an Oct. 7 Hamas attack.
At least 383 Palestinians have since been killed and 4,400 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.
