RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - A Palestinian teenager was injured on Tuesday evening by Israeli army gunfire in the city of Nablus, occupied West Bank, an aid organization said.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a brief statement that its ambulance crew shifted a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound in thigh to the hospital. He was injured in clashes in the town of Salim.
Activists on social media said military vehicles stormed the town and stationed in its center, leading to clashes that resulted in the injury. The military withdrew later.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a military offensive in the Gaza Strip that has claimed more than 36,000 Palestinian lives in last more than seven months.
