JERUSALEM (AA) - The Israeli military announced Wednesday that it conducted airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
The military said in a statement that Israeli fighter jets bombed targets in the town of Khiam.
It noted that one-sixth of the rockets fired during clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah since Oct. 8 originated from Khiam.
It added that two rockets fired from Lebanon towards Israel on Tuesday fell into an open area.
According to the Lebanese official news agency NNA, one civilian was killed and two others were wounded in the Israeli airstrike on Khiam.
Since Oct. 8, 2023, the Israeli army has killed 31 civilians in its attacks on southern Lebanon.
In the clashes, 184 Hezbollah members, six members of the Amal Movement, 10 Israeli soldiers and six Israeli civilians have been killed.
