ANKARA (AA) — At least one Palestinian was killed and 20 others injured on Friday as Israeli snipers targeted displaced people at the Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
In a statement, the aid organization took note of a "martyr and 20 injuries among the displaced, mostly children, with two of them in critical condition due to the occupation snipers targeting Al-Quds Hospital and firing directly at those displaced people in the building."
"Additionally, there are injuries from shrapnel of artillery shells west of the hospital," the Palestinian Red Crescent added.
Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Oct. 7.
At least 11,078 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women. The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is nearly 1,600, according to official figures.
