JERUSALEM (AA) - An Israeli soldier was injured on Saturday in a car-ramming incident that targeted a military site in Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli military said the attack took place near the al-Fawwar refugee camp, not far from the site of a car-ramming attack Friday in which five soldiers were injured.
It added that troops “neutralized” the assailant.
Tensions have been high across the West Bank since fighting broke out in Gaza on Oct. 7 between Palestinian groups and Israel.
With a total of 504 Palestinians killed in the West Bank so far this year, 2023 has been the deadliest year in the occupied territory on record, according to the UN agency for refugees.
