ISTANBUL (AA) – A metrobus in Istanbul left its dedicated traffic lane early Friday, crushing four cars and stopping only after it ran against a public double-decker bus, according to local media reports.
An unconfirmed number of people were injured in the accident, which happened during the morning rush hour in Istanbul, Turkey’s most populous city.
The metrobus coming from Istanbul’s European side got off the road in Kadikoy, on the Asian side, at the place known as Acibadem Station.
At the time of writing, police, fire-fighting teams, and medical teams are working to rescue the injured.
