The 12th Turkish Wind Energy Congress, organized by the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TUREB), will be held in Istanbul on Nov. 7-8 with the main theme of "Century of Wind."
The congress, expected to be the largest event of the wind industry, will bring together more than 3,000 participants, including high-level decision-makers from the public and private sectors, investors, industry representatives, suppliers, representatives from the wind service and engineering field, academia and media.
The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar; the Chairman of Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission, Mustafa Varank; the President of Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Mustafa Yilmaz; the CEO of WindEurope, Giles Dickson and the President of TUREB Ibrahim Erden is expected to make the opening speeches of the congress.
In the two-day event, there will be meetings and sessions, as well as exhibition stands in the congress areas.
The "Wind of the Future" session will give participants the opportunity to follow popular developing technologies such as energy storage, offshore wind and hydrogen, which will shape the near future of wind energy, in addition to processes related to wind energy investments and new storage licenses.
An "Open Platform" meeting will be held where companies can introduce the innovative services, applications and solutions they have developed.
Other sessions include "Net-Zero (2053) and the Importance of Wind Energy in the Perspective of Supply Security," "Industry Special Session: Opportunities in Domestic Turbine Production and Global Supply Chain," and "Electricity Market and Carbon Trading in the Future of Renewable Energy."
