ISTANBUL (AA) - The "Great Palestine March," organized by the National Will Platform in protest of Israel's attacks on Palestine, was held Saturday in Istanbul.
Thousands gathered in Beyazit Square from the districts of Fatih, Eminonu and Aksaray holding flags, with significant participation from women and children.
Demonstrators carried banners and placards in support of Palestine, in addition to Turkish and Palestinian flags.
Groups gathered in the square and chanted slogans in favor of Palestine and expressed their discontent through slogans against Israel.
After the march, groups performed the evening prayer at the Blue Mosque.
Additionally, in accordance with the decision of the Istanbul Governorship due to the march, tram services will be conducted between Kabatas-Eminonu and Yusufpasa-Bagcilar stations.
