ANKARA (AA) - More than 500 IT experts will gather at a Mediterranean resort next week to discuss ways of improving the IT use in Turkey’s public sector.
The summit in Antalya will run between Nov.16-19, when more than 40 successful public IT projects will be presented to pool best practices as well as speeches from 150 senior public sector figures, Izzet Gokhan Ozbilgin, head of the Public Informatics Association, said.
The summit is being held under the banner Explore Potential with Informatics and will see more than 50 public institutions awarded for their work in IT.
Yakup Sivka, first vice president of the association, told Anadolu Agency the event would bring together the public sector and private entrepreneurs.
“The summit will be an opportunity to introduce and disseminate the projects of public institutions,” he said. “The project will be published in a book format… to ensure that institutions can jointly use the projects.”
Sivka added that domestic software and hardware would be at the forefront in the IT sector.
The Storage Area Solution Project, which allows large storage space at local facilities and was partly developed by Anadolu Agency, will be presented at the program, he said.
Anadolu Agency is the global communication partner of the summit.
