ANKARA (AA) - Italian midfielder Marco Verratti extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) until 2026, the French club announced Wednesday.
The Italian national was formerly contracted until 2024 but after a 2-year extension will stay with the Parisians until June 30, 2026.
Veratti, 30, joined PSG from his boyhood club, Pescara, in 2012.
Since then, he has helped his club secure eight French Ligue 1 titles (2013-16, 2018-22) with 11 goals and 61 assists in 398 appearances.
Veratti is second among players to appear for PSG, behind Jean-Marc Pilorget who played 435 matches with the Parisians.
He also has the most Ligue 1 title wins in history.
