ATHENS (AA) – Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and Finnish President Alexander Stubb in a meeting in Rome on Thursday discussed global issues, regional developments, and bilateral relations.
Meloni and Stubb meeting confirmed the deep synergies between the two countries within the common EU and NATO framework, a statement from the Italian Prime Minister’s Office said.
Apart from strengthening cooperation in the economic, security, and defense sectors, the two leaders also discussed major global and European issues and challenges, such as irregular migration management and promoting an African development model, it added.
Stubb, for his part, stated on X that the relationship between Europe and China was also discussed at this meeting.
