Italian premier, NATO secretary general meet in Rome

Meeting focuses on Euro-Atlantic security, cooperation between NATO, EU, says prime minister’s office

ANKARA (AA) - Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg met in Rome on Wednesday to discuss developments for Euro-Atlantic security and NATO's adaptation process in the run-up to the Madrid Summit of June 29-30, 2022, Draghi’s office said Wednesday.

“The discussions also addressed the strengthening of the cooperation between NATO and the European Union and the role of the Atlantic Alliance in the Mediterranean,” it added.

As part of his visit, Stoltenberg will participate in the NATO-Industry Forum and commemorations marking the 70th anniversary of the NATO Defense College (NDC) on Thursday.
