ROME (AA) – Italy on Monday reported eight more fatalities from the novel coronavirus, bringing the country's death toll to 34,869.
The downward trend in daily deaths and the constant fall in active infections, which started in May, has become more evident in July.
According to the latest data by the Health Ministry, the tally of active infections dropped to 14,709.
A total of 208 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, carrying the tally of cases to 241,819.
Among the daily contagions were 19 reported in the Lazio regional government, with 12 of them being passengers of a plane from Bangladesh.
