ISTANBUL (AA) - Italy’s annual consumer inflation rate was confirmed at 0.8% in June, matching the provisional reading, according to a second reading data released on Tuesday.
The figure remained unchanged from May’s inflation rate, the country’s statistical institute Istat revealed.
Annual price hikes of unprocessed food eased from 2.2% in May to 0.3% in June and transport from 2.5% in the previous month to 1.6% last month, while the decline in energy prices slowed to minus 8.6% in June from minus 11.6% in May.
On a monthly basis, Italy’s Consumer Price Index increased 0.1% in June, matching flash data, slowing down from 0.2% in May.
