Japanese Prince Hisahito has tested positive for COVID-19, local media said on Thursday.
The young nephew of Emperor Naruhito had fever on Wednesday but tested negative for COVID-19. On Thursday, however, he was tested again and the infection was confirmed, said Tokyo-based Kyodo News, citing the Imperial Household Agency.
Prince Hisahito's parents as well as Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko all tested negative for the virus.
But the crown princess and crown prince's scheduled press conference in Tokyo on their official visit to Vietnam later this month has been postponed, according to the agency.
