AMMAN, Jordan (AA) – Jordan on Thursday exempted its nationals residing in Ukraine and wishing to return back to Jordan from coronavirus restrictions.

According to a statement by the National Center for Security and Crises Management, in the light of the developments in Ukraine, Jordanians in Ukraine are exempted from the coronavirus tests before traveling and the process to register three days before the travel date.

It added that the decision is effective immediately in order to facilitate the Jordanians wishing to leave Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a special military operation in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region.

In a statement, the Defense Ministry said it is using “high-precision weapons” to disable air defense systems, military airports, and air forces in Ukraine.
