ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish modular construction firm Karmod has started erecting a two-story container office building in the city of Liege in Belgium, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Karmod's General Manager Abdullah Yuceer said European countries are at the forefront of the company’s recent export projects.
“We are providing turnkey office buildings to prominent companies across Europe. This project in Belgium is one of them - a two-story, aesthetically designed container office building for a pharmaceutical firm,” Yuceer said.
He noted that understanding European building standards makes executing projects in the region more rewarding.
“Our experience, technology, and quality allow us to focus on high-value projects. Europe is a key market for us. While there are common building standards, each country has its own specific regulations. Once these are understood, working in Europe becomes quite enjoyable,” he said, adding that Europe is now Karmod’s top destination for building exports.
The project consists of container units measuring 2.30x600 meters, with a total area of 173 square meters, designed as a management office.
“The wall panels are insulated with A1-grade stone wool for fire resistance, and the container frames and steel support beams are painted in the company’s custom RAL color. Once completed, the project will stand out as a visually appealing office building,” Yuceer said.
He added that all construction materials, including electrical and plumbing installations, were shipped from Türkiye, along with windows and shutters.
