ISTANBUL (AA) - Karmod has successfully delivered a prefabricated school project in Malkara, a district in Türkiye’s Tekirdag province, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The prefabricated building, located in the Kozyoruk neighborhood, has been designated to serve as both a primary and secondary school.
The school, Naziye - Unal Sungur Primary and Secondary School, spans a single-story 713-square-meter area.
The building comprises eight main classrooms, one kindergarten classroom, and two multipurpose rooms, which can be used as laboratories, computer labs, or libraries. Additional facilities include a principal's office, teachers' lounge, staff room, and a small canteen.
"We successfully completed and handed over the 11-classroom prefabricated school building in just one month," Karmod General Manager Abdullah Yuceer said.
Yuceer said Karmod’s prefabricated buildings offer both safety and the critical advantage of rapid installation.
"Schools that are urgently needed can be constructed and put into service within very short timeframes. In this project, we completed an 11-classroom school in just one month. These safe and quickly assembled structures are particularly preferred for replacing schools affected by earthquakes or for meeting educational needs in new residential areas," he added.
Yuceer added that the company has so far carried out numerous educational building projects in European countries as well, including France, Germany, and Malta.
"From kindergartens to university campuses, we construct facilities catering to all levels of education," he said.
