ANKARA (AA) - Kenya registered 1,041 new coronavirus cases and 19 deaths over the past 24 hours, the country’s Health Ministry said on Friday.
The new figures bring the total number of cases in Kenya to 150,260 and fatalities to 2,443.
Kenya, a country of some 55 million, has been battling a third COVID-19 wave with a number of measures and restrictions, including a ban on all movement by road, rail, or air from and to high-risk areas.
Vaccination also continues in the East African country, and a total of 651,650 people have been inoculated with the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, the ministry said.
