ANKARA (AA) - Kenya’s health authorities on Wednesday confirmed 11 new COVID-19-related deaths and 957 new infections, local media reported.
The country's case-count has reached 72,686 with the death toll at 1,313, said Mutahi Kagwe, cabinet secretary for health, according to The Star newspaper.
So far, COVID-19 has killed 30 healthcare workers in Kenya.
The number of recoveries in the country has reached 49,878.
Globally, the virus has claimed more than 1.34 million lives and infected over 55.7 million people, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
