ISTANBUL (AA) - Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant will be re-evaluated in one week after suffering a left ankle sprain, an NBA insider said on Thursday.

"Phoenix Suns All-NBA forward Kevin Durant will be re-evaluated in one week due to a left ankle sprain, sources tell ESPN," NBA insider Shams Charania said on X. "Durant suffered the injury while landing on a Spurs player’s foot during Phoenix’s win on Tuesday night."

Durant exited early from Tuesday’s Emirates NBA Cup matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to a left ankle injury.

The 36-year-old averaged 25.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game this season.

He won consecutive NBA championships and NBA Finals MVP Awards in 2017 and 2018, both with the Golden State Warriors.
