MOSCOW (AA) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that the seventh, unpublished point of the decree on mobilization in Russia is "for service use."
Speaking at a press briefing in Moscow, Peskov said he cannot disclose its content but hinted it concerns the number of people falling under mobilization.
"The only thing I can say is that (Russian Defense Minister) Sergey Shoygu said in his interview about 300,000 people (fall under mobilization)," the spokesman said.
Peskov said some categories of citizens will be granted a delay from mobilization, the relevant information will be published soon, as well as restrictions for people that are supposed to report for military service, which may include the ban on foreign trips.
Asked about the terms of the mobilization, Peskov said they are not indicated in the decree.
Peskov refused to assess the possibility of declaring martial law in Russia, noting that so far, there have been no decisions in this regard.
Commenting on the reaction of Western politicians, Peskov recommended that they redirect their discontent to Ukraine.
"In general, we would like to recommend European diplomats to pay attention, starting in 2014, to the crimes of the Ukrainian regime, which can and should be the reason for the very tribunal," he said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Wednesday partial mobilization in Russia, which will affect about 300,000 people aged between 18 and 50.
