BISHKEK / ISTANBUL (AA) - Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov on Tuesday received Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Japarov expressed satisfaction over the establishment of a strategic partnership and said that they established the Inter-State Council with Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, according to the Kyrgyz presidential press center.
Bayramov, for his part, said: "The attention was drawn to the development of existing strategic partnership relations through reciprocal visits and contacts, as well as the expansion of the contractual and legal framework," according to an Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry statement.
Bayramov also invited Japarov to the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to be held this year in Azerbaijan.
