MOGADISHU, Somalia (AA) - At least two people were killed and three others wounded on Monday in a landmine explosion targeting a vehicle carrying police officials in Somalia's capital, an official said.
The attack took place in Dharkinley district of Mogadishu, according to Abukar Isack, a local police officer who spoke to Anadolu Agency over the phone.
"The attack was a landmine explosion," he said confirming the casualties.
The targeted vehicle was carrying police officials, including a district police commissioner, but he escaped unhurt, he added.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
